Lorraine Wilson

Managing Director

I was born and raised in York and I still love it just as much today. I spend most of my time finding new places to eat and drink, drinking far too much coffee in local cafes, and getting out for walks with our slightly mad spaniel, Buzz.

I have worked full time in property for over seven years and I have seen it from every angle. I started out as a tenant, then became a homeowner, a holiday let owner and a landlord. At one stage I was running ten holiday lets across York and Warwickshire. That journey is what eventually led me to set up YorGuest in 2020.

I am also very involved in the York business community. I have been a finalist twice in the York Women Mean Business Awards. I sit on the advisory board for Make It York and I am the Vice Chair of York Professionals, where I work alongside a brilliant group of business leaders from across the city.

My personal values mean a lot to me and they guide the way we run YorGuest. Honesty and authenticity are at the heart of what we do. We focus on personal service and doing things properly without any fuss.

Phoebe Hopcutt

Operations Director

” I bring a solid background in hospitality and property management to YorGuest, where I work to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

My career began in the hotel industry ten years ago. In 2018, I transitioned to the property sector, gaining experience in roles ranging from sales administrator at a national estate agency to office manager for a small family-run lettings business. I have been with YorGuest for nearly four years, honing my skills in property management and client relations.

At YorGuest, I manage daily operations and serve as the first point of contact for customers. I strive to provide personalised and attentive service, drawing on my knowledge of York’s property market.

I believe in open communication and lead by example, always seeking customer feedback to help maintain YorGuest’s high standards. As a holiday let owner myself i understand exactly what it takes create a succesfull holiday rental. Born and bred in York, my local roots add authenticity to the services we offer.

Outside of YorGuest, I enjoy walking my dog Pumba, spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and going out for coffee (and wine!). These interests bring a warm and personal touch to YorGuest. “

Michelle Ingram

Office Coordinator

Michelle is a valued member of our small team and plays a big part in keeping YorGuest running smoothly. She supports us with maintenance, helps manage bookings and makes sure the day to day details are looked after with care.

She lives close to York and has a lively home life with her four children, her Cocker Spaniel Chester and her six cats. She brings that same calm, capable energy into her work with us.

Michelle is organised, reliable and has a real eye for detail. She works closely with us to make sure any maintenance issues are dealt with quickly and that our guests and owners receive a friendly and personal service. Her steady support behind the scenes helps everything run as it should.

We are a family run business and Michelle fits naturally into that. She is down to earth, kind and always willing to help, and we genuinely would not be the same without her.

Rachel Strett

Accounts Manager

Rachel Strett is an indispensable part of the YorGuest team, bringing in a wealth of experience having trained in secretarial but working in such sectors as the Hotel Industry, NHS and also running her own business in the Wedding & Event industry for over 10 years.

Rache’s brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail are matched with her warm and friendly manner. She loves nothing more than to create processes and systems to ensure the smooth running of the office. She expertly manages our accounts and is able to support with guest communications during those busy days!

Outside of work, Rache enjoys being creative with various arts and crafts, has a love of reading mystery novels, but more importantly, enjoys spending quality time with her husband and dog Franki and her ever-growing family.

Paul Robinson

Social Media Manager

Paul Robinson, from Social Media Management Company Paul Oscar, is the creative force behind YorGuest dynamic social media presence. With years of experience managing social media accounts for various businesses, Paul knows exactly what it takes to craft engaging content that resonates with audiences. His quirky and fun posts, coupled with a deep understanding of our core values, make him the perfect fit for our team.

Paul collaborates closely with Lorraine to produce compelling video content that captures the essence of YorGuest. His expertise in creating impactful social media posts ensures that our brands personality shines through in the most interesting, authentic, and entertaining ways. Whether it’s through quirky posts or insightful content, Pauls work helps us connect with our audience and build a strong online community.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys hanging out with his son Oscar, playing football, Xbox, and having Nerf battles. He also has a passion for street photography.

Isobel Star

Interior Design Partner

Isobel Star is our talented Interior Design partner, specialising in creating and designing properties that work exceptionally well as holiday lets. With 20 years of experience in interior design, fashion design, project management, and construction, Isobel brings a wealth of expertise to our refurbishment projects for investors and owners.

Isobel has a distinctive sense of style and composition, adeptly mixing high and low, old and new, while injecting character and charm into every project. She has a special interest in historical properties and skilfully introduces contemporary relevance and practicality, ensuring each space retains its unique legacy.

At YorGuest, Isobel collaborates with us to transform properties into stunning holiday lets that offer both functional luxury and aesthetic appeal.

In her spare time, Isobel enjoys spending time with her crazy cockerpoos, Pickle and Crumpet. Her enthusiasm for delivering bespoke and extraordinary results makes her an invaluable partner in our mission to provide exceptional holiday experiences.

Annemarie King

Property Photographer

Annemarie is our professional photographer and brings over 20 years experience. She began her career working with two well known wedding and portrait studios in the UK before founding her own photographic studio in 2001.

Nowadays she shoots photography and video for holiday homes, interiors professionals and estate agents, and loves it! Bringing a feminine eye for detail she can be found straightening cushions, finding beautiful light and capturing every little detail that make our beautiful York holiday homes so special.

When not working, Annemarie describes herself as a ‘camo loving bird nerd’ and spends her spare time on wildlife adventures observing and photographing birds and animals 🦅
