Offering peace and quiet but just a short walk into the city, Bishy Road Hideaway in York is less than a mile from York Racecourse and York railway station. It is just over one mile to York Minster, through the historic city centre. It is minutes from the famous Bishopthorpe Road shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Almost all the sites of York are within walking distance including strolls along the river, into Rowntree Park and over the Knavesmire.
The property is a wonderful warm cosy 1930s house. The first bedroom has two single beds, the second bedroom has a superking bed and the third bedroom is a cosy single room. Upstairs is the bathroom with bath shower, toilet and sink. The large kitchen-diner seats 6 and leads on to the rear private sun-trap patio. There is free private parking for up to two standard cars and up to 50mbps Wi-Fi. The property is non-smoking, has a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with a dishwasher, an oven, a washing machine, a microwave, toaster, plenty of crockery and utensils to cook with.
The nearest airport, Leeds Bradford International Airport is 29 miles (48km) from Bishy Road Hideaway. It is only 16 miles (26km) to Castle Howard and about 1 hour’s drive to Scarborough and even closer to Leeds and Harrogate, all three of which can be reached easily by train too.
