Welcome to Apartment 8, Kings Toft – The Green One!!– a warm, comfortable two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in a newly refurbished building right in the heart of York. Just a 5-minute walk from the station, this place is ideal if you want to ditch the car and explore the city on foot.

Tucked away on quiet Toft Green, Apartment 8 Toft Green is part of a unique collection of nine apartments, brought to life through a careful mix of new build and thoughtful renovation. The building has been owned by a York-based, family-run business that’s been part of the city for over 100 years. Designed to be modern yet sympathetic to the area and in keeping with York’s historic architecture, they’ve brought fresh energy to this peaceful corner of town. Every apartment has its own colour theme, and this one’s known as "The Green One!" thanks to its fresh, calming design.

You’ll find two double bedrooms – one with an en suite and the other with a separate bathroom just across the hall, so there’s no queuing in the morning. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining space gives you room to spread out – whether you’re sharing a meal, catching up on telly or just having a cuppa and a chat.

There’s WiFi, a Smart TV, dishwasher, hotel-quality towels and fresh bedding – and we’ve left a few handy items to help you settle in quickly. It’s all been set up to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

You’ll have the place to yourself, and check-in is via a secure key safe. We’re a local family-run business and we’re never far away if you need a hand – but we won’t be bothering you unless you ask.

You’ll be close to everything – Micklegate Bar, The Shambles, York Minster, Clifford’s Tower and all the quirky shops and lovely little cafés this city’s known for. Whether you're here for a break, a bit of work, or just fancy a change of scene, Apartment 8 makes a great base.
