Guest Information
We aim to provide a 5 star service for all our guests. If something isn’t right, please get in touch prior to leaving any review to allow us to put it right.
Check-in/check-out
Check-in is from 15:00. Please check out on the day of your departure no later than 10:30 so we can clean and prepare the property for the next guests.
Departure
Please make sure the kitchen and communal areas are left tidy with any items used washed and put away.
We reserve the right to charge for any missing or damaged items. Please advise of any breakages or faults so that they can be rectified ahead of our next guests.
Additional cleaning charges will be made for additional cleaning time required to prepare for next guests arriving.
Parking
There are two private parking spaces, one at the front and one at the back of the property. Free on-street parking is available but please park responsibly and do not block any driveways or access to other properties.
Kitchen
Hob- Press the dials down and turn them then press the ignition button at the bottom of the dial to light the gas. To turn the hobs off, turn the dial back .
Oven- Use the left dial to choose the setting, the right dial to choose the temperature, then the middle dial to set the time.
Dishwasher- Press the on off button then turn the dial to the setting you want. Then press start/pause button. Once it has finished press the on/off button again.
Microwave
Washing machine- Press the on/off button, then choose the number you would like. The number correlates with the settings to the left of the dial. You can also adjust the temperature using the right dial. When you are ready to go, press start/pause.

Wi-Fi
We have fibre broadband. If you experience any difficulties connecting please restart the router (located in the living room) but please do not reset it. WiFi details are:

Heating/hot water
The optimum temperature is 21°C. The temperature can be changed using the thermostat located in the living room. The hot water is always on. Please be environmentally aware and turn down the heating should you open windows or leave the property.
Waste & recycling
York city council operate a landfill/recycling collection on a bi-weekly basis.
Recycling: there are two bins in the utility room which can be used for recycling and also recycling bins by the side of the house.
Genral waste- there is a grey bin near the kitchen door and there is a black wheelie bin to the side of the house, please use these for landfill waste only.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THE GREEN WHEELIE BIN AS THIS IS FOR GARDEN WASTE ONLY.
TV/entertainment
You can switch between TV, Firestick, HDMI 2 using the AV switch on the TV remote control.
Noise
This is a quiet residential area with young children in the neighbouring houses.
Please keep noise to a minimum and no outdoor noise between 22:00 – 07:00
Smoking
This is a no smoking property, we reserve the right to charge a £150 additional charge if there is evidence of smoking in the property. Please smoke outside of the building and dispose of cigarette ends in the bin.

NHS 111 Service: 111
Use the NHS 111 service if you need urgent medical help/advice but it’s not a life-threatening situation.
If you smell gas or suspect a gas leak switch off the gas supply immediately at the shut off point located in the box to the left of the front door outside of the property.
The water shut off tap is located under the kitchen sink.
To switch the electricity supply off the switch is located in the box above the front door.

Petrol station/Local store
The nearest petrol station is Texaco located on Boroughbridge road. There is also a coop convenience store which sells most essentials and is open every day from 06:00 – 10:00
Pub/bar
The nearest pub is the Ainsty, situated on the junction of Carr Lane and Boroughbridge Road about 10 minutes walk away. However, you can travel a little further into York city centre for the best bars and restaurants.
Local buses
At the front of the housing estate opposite the Texaco petrol station is a bus stop, both the number 5 and number 10 bus services are frequent and go into York city centre. For time tables see www.itravelyork.info
