Guest Information
We aim to provide a 5 star service for all our guests. If something isn’t right, please get in touch prior to leaving any review to allow us to put it right.
Check-in/check-out
Check-in is from 15:00. Please check out on the day of your departure no later than 10:00 so we can clean and prepare the property for the next guests.
Departure
Could we please ask that you remove the bedding and place on the bedroom floor. Mattress covers and pillowcase covers do not need to be removed as they will be sanitised.
Please make sure the kitchen and communal areas are left tidy with any items used washed and put away.
Place any used towels in the shower or bath.
We reserve the right to charge for any missing or damaged items. Please advise of any breakages or faults so that they can be rectified ahead of our next guests.
Additional cleaning charges will be made for additional cleaning time required to prepare for next guest arriving.
Parking
ONE free parking permit is provided to display in the vehicle, to park in R15 only. There is usually a space outside the house, but most of the surrounding streets within the bollards are in R15.
NB: DO NOT PARK IN R15SC OPPOSITE THE HOUSE OR YOU MAY BE FINED. This is meter parking for 1 hour only
PLEASE NOTE – The permit MUST BE LEFT IN THE PROPERTY ON CHECKOUT
A replacement for lost permits is NOT allowed by City of York Council, and a new one will have to be bought for £450 if it is not returned. If it is returned late, the next guest will have to pay £15 per day in the nearest car park. Charges will be levied at these rates for a permanent or temporary removal of the permit.

Heating/hot water
To turn the central heating ON/OFF, use the parasol and snowman summer/winter button on the boiler.
To adjust the temperature, use the thermostat on the kitchen breakfast bar, or the individual radiator thermostats.
Hot water is immediate in either the summer or winter setting
Underfloor heating in the bathroom is set on a timer – please don’t adjust the settings. If you don’t require the floor heating, it can be turned off with the slider button on the left side of the control.
There are electric elements in the cloakroom and bathroom towel radiators which can be switched on when the central heating isn’t activated
SHOWER
The shower can be set to the large rain head or the hand shower.
The bathroom fan is on constantly, at low speed, and increases speed with the humidity when the shower is run.
Please open the bathroom window during or immediately after your shower to reduce condensation
Hot Water
Is provided on demand from pressurised cylinders giving excellent flow rates to all taps and showers.
Waste & recycling
Recycling:
Please ensure all recycling is clean and dry
There is a basket for paper and card in the kitchen larder cupboard
Recycling bins are in the utility/cloakroom, one for cans and bottles, the other for recyclable plastics.
General Waste:
General waste bin in the kitchen, and a further dustbin in the rear courtyard for bagged waste.

Cooking, Washing & Dishwashing
Operating instructions for all the appliances are in the left-hand kitchen drawer
Electric Induction Hob
Please only use the pans provided to avoid damage to the hob. Do not put coffee pots etc on the hob or use any cleaning materials or products that may scratch the surface.
The relevant cleaning product for stubborn stains is located under the sink
Dishwasher
Cleaning tabs are located under the sink
Washing Machine
This takes small loads, up to 6kg. There is a wall-mounted Brabantia drying line in the courtyard, and a drying rack in the understairs cupboard. Alternatively, there is a launderette in the Bishopthorpe Road, 5 minutes’ walk away
Vacuum Cleaner
This is in the understairs cupboard, along with a dustpan and brush.
Bathroom Eco Products
Please enjoy these but leave the containers as they are refillable, and we are trying to cut down on waste
Iron and Ironing Board
These are located in the front bedroom left-hand wardrobe. Please only use the iron in the front bedroom to prevent damage to carpets or other floor coverings if the iron should fall off the board
Noise
This is a quiet residential area, please be respectful of the neighbours and community.
Please keep noise to a minimum and no outdoor noise between 22:00 – 07:00
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the property.
Please do not discard cigarette ends in the garden or internal bins.
We reserve the right to charge a £150 additional charge if there is evidence of smoking in the property
Cleaning Services
Unless arranged otherwise there is no cleaning service during your stay. If you would like to request mid-stay cleans please call us on 01904 375035 or email us hello@yorguest.com.
Useful information
For the emergency services, dial 999 from your mobile and ask for the Fire, Ambulance or Police as required.
Call 101 for general police enquiries or to report an incident that does not require immediate attention.
Use the NHS 111 service if you need urgent medical help/advice but it not a life-threatening situation.
The apartment is all electricity. The main fuse box is located in the cupboard in the hallway next to the boiler. The stop cock for the water in also in the same cupboard.
